Adobe recommend disabling JavaScript option in Acrobat and Reader

Adobe have warned users to disable the JavaScript option in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader following the discovery of a remote code-execution vulnerability.  All current versions of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader are vulnerable, including the latest versions 9.1, 8.14 and 7.11.

Users can manually disable JavaScript using these instructions:

1. Launch Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
2. Select Edit>Preferences
3. Select the JavaScript Category
4. Uncheck the ‘Enable Acrobat JavaScript’ option
5. Click OK

Administrators can deploy the setting using Group Policy using Rick Patterson's administrative template.
